R&D - QUALITY - ENVIRONMENTAL FACILITIES

There is a modern laboratory to make any kind of analysis due to the subject, because PETROFER gives very much of importance to R&D. Therefore, we are ready to solve any informational and technical problems for our customers.

Although we have started production in 1996, we have achieved accreditation for the ISO 9001:1994 QUALITY ASSURANCE SYSTEM Certificate on December 4th 1997 and it was upgraded the latest version ISO 9001:2000 QUALITY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM Certificate on December 7th 2002.

We have also achieved ISO 14001 ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT SYSTEM Certificate on October 4th 1999. Both Certificates are taken from the German international Certification Company GERMANISCHER LLOYD. We also have proved our sensibility against the environment and the human by signing the RESPONSIBLE CARE CERTIFICATE.

PETROFER has and will always achieve to accredit these certificates of quality and service success, also human health and environment. These certificates, will give advantages to us and therefore to the customers that we are serving and we will serve.

PETROFER is one of the first participants of NATIONAL QUALITY MOVEMENT in 2000 in KOBİ category, which is organized by KALDER (Quality Association).

During the World Environment Day & Week, we have participated the Environment Award Competition, which has organized by Aegean Region Chamber of Industry. We have taken the "AEGEAN REGION ENVIRONMENT 3rd AWARD" at 31.May.2001.

In 2002, we have participated "Aegean Region Quality Award" and "The Successful Team Of The Year Award" Competitions. We have been finalist for both competition and we are awarded with the "JURY PRIVATE AWARD" for Aegean Region Quality Award Competition in the category of KOBİ.

We have taken the "ENVIRONMENT ACQUITTAL AWARD" on 09.May.2002 given by Turkish Employer Trade Union Confederation, Environment Ministry, İzmir Chamber of Commerce and Aegean Region Chamber Of Industry together.

We have taken the "AEGEAN REGION ENVIRONMENT - JURI PRIVATE AWARD" at 25.June.2002 which has given by Aegean Region Chamber Of Industry.

We have been rewarded by "SUCCESS AWARD" for successful workings of environment during the ISWA World Environment Congress and Fair at 08-11.July.2002.

TRAINING & SEMINARS

In order to catch up with the rapidly changing technological and scientific improvements on its field, PETROFER trains its employees in seminars and fairs in and out of Turkey. To prove its strength in technical and service issues, our company has been hosting seminars for hundreds of people from many different firms.

As part of the "Customer Relations Management-CRM" project initiated in 2002, "Customer Relations Department" was founded. Our employees, especially the members of our sales team were given a 6-month training program. Customer Relations Department is carrying on its activities with the goals of understanding the customer, providing better service to the customer, and solving their problems. All of our local and foreign sales representatives were trained on this subject. In order to form a better customer database, new questionnaire forms were prepared and submitted to all customers. Customer profiles were formed using the data obtained. The Customer Relations Department also attends seminars and training programs on CRM, and has a great effort to adopt the new applications on this field.

Besides these, PETROFER gives seminars to inform customers on our philosophy, our production facilities and processes, product specifications and R&D activities with demonstrations held in customer firms.

PETROFER strongly supports the coordination of universities and the industry. We believe that students need to be involved in companies such as ours in order to have a good understanding of business life. Our company has given 44 internships since 1996. The internships were not limited with domestic students; we had four foreign intern students as well as the ones coming from different regions of Turkey.
