HISTORY
PETROFER Chemie is a German company having over
70-year history and experience, which is producing industrial
oils by reflecting the latest technologies. Centered in Germany,
it is also located in many other countries that produce and distribute.
Parallel to the rapid development of our industry in the last
20 years, the demand to PETROFER products in our country had a
very big increase. To supply this demand, in 1983 as a representative
and distributor, and then in June 1995, PETROFER ENDÜSTRİYEL YAĞLAR
SANAYİ VE TİCARET A.Ş. was established as a Turkish - German associative
investment located here in Çigli - Izmir / TURKEY.
PRODUCT RANGE
PETROFER has a range of more than 600 products
due to the industrial applications it is serving. The main sectors
are as follows:
· PETROFER is the only producer in Turkey of the salts, oils
and cooling media for heat treatment.
. Standard hydraulic oils, especially used in iron-steel industrial
applications and hydraulic liquids avoiding fire risk
· Metal working and various oils and solutions used in erosion
operations
· Oils used in die casting and metal injection for light metals
· Oils used in cold and hot forming of metals
· Oils used in drawing of copper, aluminum and steel wire
· Corrosion protective oils used with ferrous and nonferrous metals
· Heat transfer oils
. Motor oils for engine and diesel
· Industrial cleaning and maintenance products
· Solutions and oils used for rolling ferrous metal
· Chemicals for tissue and paper production
· Multi-purpose products
The products mentioned above are all made with a German know-how,
at top quality, in a modern factory with after-purchase service
for a continuous control for us and our customer's privilege and
working quality.
EXPORT FACILITIES
Abroad, PETROFER is practically in the export
markets of Egypt, Jordan, Pakistan, Iran, Israel, Algeria, Sudan,
Qatar, Bahrain, Syria, Morocco, Oman, Bangladesh, Kuwait, Tunisia,
United Arab of Emirates and Saudi Arabia. We are exporting 40%
of our production to these countries. We have turned the company
into an exporter from an importer in such a short time.
PETROFER's dense market studies both in Turkey and in foreign
countries will increase our working capacity. Our aim is to increase
the exporting capacity by taking more of the Middle Eastern, North
African countries and the CIS into our market.
MARKETING AND SALES
PETROFER has organized the sales regions all around the west
and the middle parts of the Turkey. Aegean, Istanbul, Bursa and
Ankara Regions sales team were formed. We also have associated
divisions in many of the important industrial centers of Anatolia
such as Adana, Afyon, Aydın, Denizli, Eskişehir, Kayseri, Gebze,
Gaziantep and Konya to give faster and better service to our customers
in every occasion.
PETROFER sells by; sales visit, education and problem solving
philosophy. After sales, we have been doing the routine controls
of our products in its place and also do the all required analysis
in our Quality Assurance Laboratory. So, we inform our customer
before faced with any problem.
We have taken a mission of problem solving with our expert staff.
With a primary goal of satisfying our esteemed customers with
their observations, PETROFER uses the latest technology and its
young but experienced staff.
Within the first months of the year 2003, PETROFER has increased
its number of employees by 60% and has scheduled a program to
increase its capacity to 20,000 tons. The company has initiated
an investment of 1 million $. The local customer profile is increased
by 35-40% annually. With its worldwide-recognized quality certificates,
PETROFER is an ideal medium-scaled company in Turkey.
PETROFER'S SOCIAL ACTIVITIES
With its activities on cultural and social fields,
PETROFER is recognized all over Turkey. In addition to our attendance
to fairs in and out of Turkey, some of our social activities are:
• Sponsorship to the Izmir State Classical Turkish Music Chorus
of Turkish Republic Cultural Ministry.
• Sponsorship to the MAS ("Way to Perfection" Symposium)
held by KALDER (Turkish Quality Association) in 2002 and 2003.
• Our supports to EGV (Turkish Education and Training Foundation)
• Our supports to MEKSA (Career Training and Small Industry Supporting
Foundation)
• Our dedications to the sport fest in Izmir Saint Joseph High
School's 120th year.
PETROFER has always had deep concerns about the protection of
the environment and natural life. Our firm has supported the plantation
of thousands of trees by several organizations and foundations.
Ege Kalite Derneği (Aegean Quality Association), Ege Orman Vakfı
(Aegean Forest Foundation) are some of these. We also have trees
planted on the name of our company in TUYAP Forest and "Soroptimistler
Kulubu" Forest.
